Make sure KCZC is the right fest for you
KC Zine Con is a one-day, in-person convention made by and for zinesters. Do you make zines and do you want to share, trade, or sell them? KC Zine Con might be a good fit for you!
While similar, KC Zine Con is not a comic book convention, artist alley, art market, or craft fair. If you make other art — like stickers, prints, or shirts — that’s great, but please keep these items to a minimum.
KC Zine Con is NOT the fest for you if:
- You dabble in zines and have one or two titles you could share… but are more excited about selling your prints, shirts, keychains, stickers, plush, etc.
- Utilize AI to make your zines or art.
- Are hoping to make lots and lots of money at the fest. We’ve found that zines priced at $15 or less sell the best, and at KC Zine Con, you’re more likely to find folks wanting to trade zines with you.

We’re committed to making KC Zine Con a wonderful experience for everyone who wants to attend, a place where we treat each other with respect. Get Ready: Prep your Application Materials
The application asks for:
- Your name and pronouns
- Your contact info
Email, phone, address. Please list an email and phone number you check and respond to! - The name you want listed in the program: this can be your zine series’ name, your pen name, or just your name
(Heads up: this field is called “Business Name” on the application – we’re using a new vendor software this year, and the name of that field is baked in.) - 1 – 3 pictures of your zines
- A description of the zines you plan on selling at your table.
- Links to your website and/or social media
(This is optional — any links you provide will show up in the table program/vendor directory!)
Fill out your application
This year, we’re using new software to manage table applications, the festival map, and tabler communications. (We’re super excited about this update; if you’re accepted to table, you’ll now get to choose your own table spot, and it has a virtual zinesters directory built in.)
You’ll be asked to make a free Seen Market account as part of the application process. This will let you choose your table spot and update your zinester directory page if you’re accepted to the fest, and manage your application if you’re waitlisted.
Applications to table KC Zine Con #11 will be open from 7/31 at noon, until 8/14/2026, 11:59 PM (all times are in KC time — Central).
