Apply to table at KCZC #9

 6/22/2024 and 6/23/2024 at Goofball Sk8boards and kczinecon.com

You can participate at KCZC #9 in-person or online. Everyone who applies and is accepted will get a virtual table space on our online zinester directory, and we’ll be featuring both in-person and virtual tablers in the free program we distribute the day of the event.

Applications to table open on Tuesday March 26th and will remain open until Tuesday, April 2nd.Applications to table have now closed. We’ll begin reviewing the apps soon, and will post on social media, here, and the Discord when acceptance/wait list emails start being sent out. Once applications close, we will review the submissions and let you know if you have been accepted or waitlisted. We’re excited to announce that this year, the fest will be 2-days! You can apply to table on either Saturday or Sunday. We’re scrapping the tent — this year, all zinesters will be tabling inside the skatepark. We’re also scrapping full tables: only half tables will be available, so we can host as many zinesters as possible!

KC Zine Con is not a juried convention, and applications are typically accepted in the order they are received. However, in order to create a more inclusive zine fest, we will be prioritizing applications from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) zinesters. Additionally, due to space limitations, we will be prioritizing applications from zinesters in the KC metro area for in-person tabling.

Table Fees

KC Zine Con is a volunteer-run organization that relies on your support to fund programming and our annual convention! Since 2018, we have been able to make table fees sliding scale/pay-what-you-can, and we are happy to say that this will continue in 2024.

Our suggested sliding scale* for table payments are:
Only a virtual table: $5 – $15
Half table: $20 – $30

We will not be taking any table payments until application acceptance letters are sent. You will be notified by email if your application has been accepted mid April (exact date tbd).

*Please note that we will not refuse anyone for lack of funds, if payment is a barrier for you please reach out to us at kczinecon(at)gmail.com. This resource may be helpful if sliding scale payment is new to you OR if you are unsure what amount to pay.
