Goofball is wheelchair accessible via the east parking lot entrance. There are stairs leading to the entrance on 80th St.

KC Zine Con is accessible by public transit: Goofball is located at 300 W 80th St, Kansas City, MO 64114 on the Wornall 57 bus line. If you are coming from downtown/midtown hop on the southbound Main St. Max and change to the southbound 57 bus at the Broadway and 74th Terr Sb stop. It is about a 2 minute walk from the 80th St stop.

KC Zine Con is accessible by bicycle: Goofball Sk9boards is located on the Trolly Track Trail! KC Zine Con will have free parking for both bicycles and cars on the day of the event.

All bathrooms at KC Zine Con are gender neutral. There is 1 ADA bathroom onsite.

Breastfeeding parents may utilize any space in the building.

KC Zine Con is a scent-aware, smoke-free space. While we cannot guarantee a scent-free space due to the size of the event, we ask that participants please refrain from wearing fragrances the day of the event to make our space more accessible for those with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. No vaping or smoking is allowed inside KC Zine Con.

Service Animals are welcome at the event. Pets and all other animals that are not service animals are not allowed.

In order to protect our tabling zinesters from COVID-19, we are requiring that all participants and attendants wear facemasks and remain masked while indoors. We will have free snacks (including vegan and gluten free options) for all tabling zinesters but we ask that you take your snacks outside to eat them.

If you are not tabling and need a place to sit down and rest, there will be chairs located in the Neither/nor Zine Library “quiet room,” zine making/craft space, and workshop room. If you need a bag, we will have free recycled plastic bags at the welcome table.

KC Zine Con will also be accessible online as a virtual festival. Tablers who do not wish to participate in person can reserve a “virtual table” – a spot in our online listing of all participating zinesters. We have also worked to make a good faith effort to keep our website as accessible as possible, by including “alt” tags on images, so that screen readers can describe images, coding aria-labels into our “Read More” buttons, so that they include descriptive text about what article the “Read More” button links to, and using contrasting colors for text and background. We are always working to try and make our website more accessible.

If you have any question about the accessibility of the event, please contact us at kczinecon(at)gmail.com.
